Notes for SNAP-Plus version 1.129 - January 20, 2009:

Version 1.129 fixes problems in 1.128 including:

  • Fixed R2 crops database to include missing Sorghum Sudan grass crop.
  • Fixed some of the performance problems identified in 1.128.
  • Added restricted soils legend to Nutrient Management report. Note: You must download a patch to actually get this to work. See the Current Version page.
  • Added sub farm, soil symbol, and soil series columns to the soil sample report.
  • Fixed rotation change wizard so that soil test date search range goes from September to September.
  • Changed format of Grass hay yield goal to fix spreadsheet report where Excel changed yield goal range to date.
  • Fixed soil test import so you may use alpha-numeric soil sample IDs.
  • Fixed soil test import so you may edit values in the grid - yellow denotes possible problems.

Version 1.128 fixes problems in 1.127 including:

  • Problems with new features in the soil test import process.
  • A problem with excluding samples in soil test sample averaging (the update will automatically recalculate soil test averages for all soil tests when an older SnapPlus database is opened.)
  • The Rotation Wizard "Add Application" dialog box was not working properly.
  • A number of minor data entry and report problems.
The following issues may be fixed, but because they are intermittent, we can't be sure.
  • Sometimes the first sample in a soil sample import file was not imported or was imported improperly.
  • Nutrient applications added in the Rotation Editor did not show up in the grid. (Note that even though they did not show up in the grid, they did get added to the database, so you would see them in the Rotation Wizard (perhaps as blank lines) or when you next started SnapPlus.)
  • The Rotation Wizard applications step (Step 4 of adding crop data) may have had missing data or even blank rows. This problem might be related to the Rotation Editor issue described above.

Version 1.127 was a maintenance release which fixed problems in 1.126. These included:

  • the nutrient "Prior years' extra" calculations.
  • The Nutrient Management Plan report was added back in as requested by users.
  • Some minor changes were also made to the help file.
  • Some changes were made to the data migration process.

Note: The installation process for Snap-Plus has been redesigned to eliminate problems with running Snap-Plus under Windows Vista. See the SNAP-Plus Installation Details page for details.
